SRK's Dil To Pagal Hai completes 16 years

31st october 2013 : Some films are evergreen and for superstar Shah Rukh Khan, one such film is his love story “Dil To Pagal Hai”.

The film, released in 1997, was a love triangle and with him starred Madhuri Dixit and Karisma Kapoor. It was directed by Yash Chopra, who passed away Oct 21 last year.

“As time passes, 16 yrs to be exact..the memories come rushing back…making DTPH (Dil To Pagal Hai) seem aur paas…aur paas (making DTPH seem close). Thanks Madhuri, Karisma, Yashji and team,” the 47-year-old posted on Twitter Thursday.

As a child SRK frequented Dilip Sahab's house many times until he moved to Mumbai. Further what may stun you is that SRK's father was too keen to become an actor and had auditioned for Dilip Kumar's epic film MUGHAL-E-AZAM but failed to impress K. Asif, the movie's director. Shah Rukh Khan misses distributing sweets on his birthday

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who will be celebrating his 48th birthday on November 2, misses those days when he used to distribute sweets in the classroom on his birthday.
SRK tweeted today, "My impending b'day reminds me of the time when Sweets were given around the class. Now it’s Tweets being distributed around a class of 5 mil."
Shah Rukh Khan compared the days when sweets were given on his birthday with today when he is distributing tweets among his more that five million fans on a social networking site Twitter.
Social networking sites are already filled with wishes for King Khan on his 48th birthday.

Shah Rukh Khan Suggests Title For ‘Mickey Virus’ Sequel: Bittoo Bacteria!

MUMBAI: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, known for his wit and tongue-in-cheek humour, has suggested a fitting title for any sequel of Manish Paul’s ‘Mickey Virus’!

Trust Shah Rukh Khan to lighten any given situation, by adding his brand of witty humour.
At an event, when asked about the unique title of Manish Paul-starrer, ‘Mickey Virus’, Shah Rukh Khan was quick with his repartee: “Generally, films have names like ‘Azaad’, ‘Baazigar’, etc. ,but what kind of name is ‘Mickey Virus’?
He also gave the rejoinder that the sequel of ‘Mickey Virus’ should be titled ‘Bittoo Bacteria’.
In true-blue SRK fashion, Shah Rukh entertained his fans, while also stating: “Manish is good friend of mine and he is very talented and may god give him all the success.”
The King Khan also added the he was proud of Manish Paul for the hard work the TV star turned actor had put into the film, and that he was enamoured by his talent of being able to make people laugh.
Wishing Manish all the success in life, Shah Rukh then said he wished that ‘Mickey Virus’ seeks more crowd than what ‘Chennai Express’ did at the Box Office. Talk about being large-hearted!

Shahrukh Khan Reveals A Secret About Himself

Shahrukh Khan has portrayed many roles in which we see him as this sexy, smart and an extrovert guy and when he is on-camera, he is oozing of confidence. But what many of us don't know is that in real life, he is very shy. At at a recent event, SRK shared a very interesting story about the time he was shooting for the song Dard-e-Disco.

King Khan said, " Even though on-screen I am this super cool, confident guy, in real life I am a very shy kind of a person. Everyone in my team knows about it. When I was shooting for the song 'Dard-e-Disco' from Om Shanti Om, I was wearing shorts. We were waiting for the background dancers, who were all ladies, to get ready, so I could come out and start the shoot. But I felt coy coming in there and told the production team to ask the ladies to stay away, so that I can quickly get into the water, without anyone seeing me."

He further added, " Usually when the shoot gets over, all the actors go to the monitors to check out their performance. But I did not came out of the water as all the ladies were still present there. After everybody left, I got out of the tub wearing a towel."

Another story which SRK told is that he was flying British Airways and the air hostess asked him two questions, and because he couldn't understand her accent - he went hungry for the entire flight.

King Khan climbed atop the grilled barricade around his home on Wednesday evening to greet his fans. As it was Bakri Eid, a large crowd had gathered around his abode to wish him. In his trademark style he did the adaab to the numerous onlookers, waved to them and blew kisses at them. After he had climbed down from the grill and was back home, the crowd started dispersing, that’s when some nurses were spotted on one of Mannat’s balconies. Mumbai airport was abuzz with stars recently as King Khan returned with Madhuri Dixit and Jacqueline Fernandez after a rocking performance in Australia.

The temptation reloaded stars came back after enthralling all with their superb performances in both Auckland and Sydney.

Also spotted on the airport was Madhuri Dixit’s loving hubby Sriram Nene.

Shahrukh Khan : Can’t bear cricket without Sachin Tendulkar.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan took to Twitter to express disappointment about the retirement of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.

In a media statement released through the Board of Control for Cricket in India this afternoon, Sachin Tendulkar has announced his retirement from international cricket.

As the Master Blaster announced his retirement, the Baadshah of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan did not take too long to comment on Tendulkar’s decision.

 The King Khan  tweeted, “O no! Suddenly realised the meaning of addiction. Mine was the Master.I am going thru cold turkey. To see cricket without Sachin? Unbearable”.
